COCO COIR

Another popular product is coco coir, a standard greenhouse product in the industry today. This is a 100% organic growing medium and can be used to improve the structure of your growing medium but certainly also as a pure substrate. Our coco coir is being produced in a sustainable and responsible way. Proper aging gives physical stability to our coir so the material conserves moisture for longer, this is one of the very reasons it has become such a popular growing medium, used as it is or as part of a blend with peat.

Coconut husks are the outer part of coconut as a spongy cellulose material consisting of 100% Coco Peat or Coir Dust. This Coco Peat is a cellulose material made out of tissues which intake water and conserve moisture for a longer time. 100% organic growing medium and can be used to improve the structure of your growing medium.


Coir is a very good growing medium with a high porosity and air capacity. It also offers a high cation exchange capacity and the ability to rewet.


Coconuts husks are the outer parts of coconuts and are used widely as the basis for an organic growing medium. The different grades .. and chips / crush. coco coir fibre, is extracted from the husks which leaves fibre and pith as separate products or the husks are cut into chips / crush. After extraction our coir products are aged for 6 months to get physical stability. Aging is followed by washing to reduce the E.C., buffering for chemical balance or the material is given the unique Shakti Amla® treatment for chemical balance and adjusted pt. A good growing medium should be stable, consistent and chemically suitable for the purpose it is being used for. Sieving and packing complete the production process.
