Greenhouse Technologies was started by Francois De Kock, well-known in the greenhouse business and formerly employed with some foremost companies in the trade. His first involvement was while employed at Grandiflora where he marketed all requirements for greenhouse production – mostly to the flower trade. This was excellent training ground and he employed his marketing studies to the full to be successful.

Francois started out in September 2007 working from his Krugersdorp residence. Soon he found the business required proper stores and a marketing office and acquired space on the Multiflora premises. It soon became evident that more space was required. Now Greenhouse Technologies encompass marketing and administration offices, three stores and a special lock-up facility for agro-chemicals.

When you start a new enterprise and you are lucky to obtain the services if a well-experienced person, you are bound for immediate success. This was the experience of Francois when he brought in a person in the form of Vic Lemmer – a greenhouse expert with knowledge and contact for more than thirty years in South Africa. Vic is active in the marketing side of Greenhouse Technologies and executes telephonic orders.

The business offers a large variety of greenhouse equipment such as granular and soluble fertilizers, grow medium, packaging and wrapping materials, agro-chemicals, trellising clips, pruning scissors, plastic tunnel paints and even record holding books amongst a host of other products. Francois imports plastic for the covering of tunnels or multi-spans and has enlarged his product range extensively with equipment like climate screens for instance.
