The best environment for roots is porosity, filled with available air and water. Sphagnum peat is a natural product offering a porosity above 90% when harvested according to the Klasmann methods. Klasmann substrates are made of pure sphagnum peat. This sphagnum peat is a very soft raw material where strong roots grow fast, Roots do not face any obstacle, neither physical nor chemical or biological. Air, water and nutrients are easily available. Klasmann substrates are ready to use. They offer a very low rate of dust, to maintain a very high stable porosity (95%) and air capacity, even for fine structures.
